Why do women play mind games?

im 18 years old i was talking to girl recently , she was a nice girl respectful , cute and truthful i was talking to her for about 2 weeks we were starting to get closer and i fond out on sat she went to a club and she liked my friend doug and at a club she wanted to dance with him but doug didnt and i stopped talking to her and then i stopped talking to her for about a week and a half and then i wanted to give her another chance but when i started talking to her again she said she had a bf now some guy nick they went out for about a week why do women play so many games it seems i get the impression that god doesnt want me to have a gf
